End of Movember: How Did We All Do?

As November draws to a close, so does Movember, the annual charity fundraising event which challenges men across the globe to grow a moustache to show their support for men’s health issues.

Gould’s Box Office Taches team have spent the month growing their own taches, and we thought we’d show you the fruits of our labours. Here are some pictures and thoughts from the males – plus some comments from the females who have had to endure the month of Mo!

The Boys
Stephen

How do you think the month has gone?

Slowly! Although the ‘tache has grown ridiculously quickly and now needs trimming every other day!

Will you be keeping the ‘tache? And if you are shaving it off, how much ceremony will there be?

Definitely NOT, as soon as the 1st Dec is here it's coming off. There won’t be any ceremony!

Will you grow a Mo again next year?

For the cause... absolutely yes! My aim is to do something new each year, any suggestions for Movember 2014?

Ken

How do you think the month has gone?

Very long, but more compliments on the fullness of my ‘tache than last year.

Will you be keeping the tache? And if you are shaving it off, how much ceremony will there be?

No, none, shaving at 12.01 on the 1st of December.

Will you grow a Mo again next year?

If my wife makes me…

Matt

How do you think the month has gone?

Fan-tache-tic. Really enjoying the strange looks and comedy comments.

Will you be keeping the tache? And if you are shaving it off, how much ceremony will there be?

May keep the tache through winter as it is surprisingly warm. It will also upset the wife. ;-)

The removal ceremony will be a full Turkish cut throat shave and I am very much looking forward to it.

Will you grow a Mo again next year?

Of course I'll do it again next year, it's for a great cause.

Tom

How do you think the month has gone?

Awesome. Very proud.

Will you be keeping the tache? And if you are shaving it off, how much ceremony will there be?

Nope. The Mrs doesn't know that yet though.

Will you grow a Mo again next year?

Yes.

The Girls

And now, here’s what the women in the office made of Movember…

Sophie

Steve looks like Freddy Mercury.

Liz

All of them look downright untidy and somewhat suspicious, but I know it’s all in a good cause so I’ve tolerated it without giving the participants too much of a hard time.
Thank god the men (and boys!!) in my life (Mark, Roy, Nick & Colin) are still hairless. Good for you all though, it is a worthy cause and raises the profile.

Melanie

Well… I think some of you are braver than others but… You’re all heroic in your attempts & it shows that underneath those rough exteriors you’re all caring people. Bet you can’t wait for December though! PS – It really does age a man!

Sarah

I think they all look a little bit dodgy (cartoon character baddies, moustache twirling/stroking) and some, definitely more so than others. But it is for such a great cause and really is a talking point/ice breaker. Well done to all doing it.

Why not sponsor the Gould team for all their hard tache-growing work? There’s still a few days left before the end of Movember, so head on over to our team page to donate.

Your money will go towards programmes to raise awareness of men’s health issues and help men dealing with those issues, including mental health problems and testicular cancer.
